Lauren - Founder/Head Coordinator (Certified Wedding Planner)
Since I was a little girl, I have been passionate about fashion, décor, design, and of course, weddings. I would always help my mom plan and organize her social events. Being a romantic at heart, I dreamt up every detail of my own wedding from the dress to the cocktail napkins to the get-away car.
Almost six years ago, when my husband Erik proposed to me, I was able to take part in the planning process of my own wedding. I was amazed at the amount of details involved in planning my perfect day. Although this proved to be stressful at times, seeing and living the final product made it all worth it!
While planning my own wedding, I was on my way to earning a degree in education. I have since finished that degree and am fully certified to teach elementary age children. While I did enjoy teaching children, it is the work I have done helping others plan their weddings that has proved to be my true passion. Because of this, I decided to change course and become a wedding and event planner. So, I went back to school and completed the coursework necessary to become a Certified Wedding & Event Planner.
Erik and I have been married for over four years now and have two dogs: Cooper, our mini-schnauzer, and Bentley, our Shih-Tzu. In my spare time, I love to do scrapbooking and photography. I also enjoy decorating my home, shopping, and cooking up the latest recipe that I see on The Food Network. We love to host couples parties at our house, and attend a small group at our church to socialize and grow with other young married couples.
I never stop keeping up with the trends, décor, and different ways to make your dream wedding a reality. With my skills and knowledge, I pay attention to all of the elements that make up the wedding of your dreams. Together, we can make an unforgettable event that your guests will not stop talking about for years to come.
Emily - Coordinator
Nothing is more rewarding than the smile on a bride's face when she sees the result of all the time and energy spent planning and executing her wedding. Tailoring a wedding to fit each bride's personality and creating the desired atmosphere is my primary goal. Although my personal style tends to be classic with a touch of flair, I appreciate all styles and find beauty in their presentation. I love to put things together. My creativity, attention to detail, proactive attitude, and ability to communicate will ensure that your wedding is a success! Also, my background in business management has taught me that everything comes with a cost, so getting the best value for your dollar is a priority.
I grew up as a small town girl, but have always had a big city mentality. This is what ultimately brought me to Houston. I enjoy the lake whether I am wake boarding, spending time with family, or just admiring the beautiful, peaceful scenery. The night life in Houston is also quite fabulous!

Erik - Accountant and Budget Assistant (Certified Public Accountant)
OK, I'll admit it. Wedding planning is not my thing. However, fortunately for everyone involved, that is not what I do here at Ellanesque. My day job is a financial analyst, and since obtaining my CPA (Certified Public Accountant) license in December 2009, I also do income tax returns.
So what is my purpose here at Ellanesque? Well, besides being married to the founder, I provide any necessary support with the budgeting process of your event. I also serve as the accountant, which to most means that I do a lot of the boring stuff necessary to keep the business running smoothly. What that means for you is that your coordinator will not be distracted by having to worry about the behind the scenes stuff and can focus on what is important to you, which is planning your event. Also, this gives Ellanesque a competitive advantage since you will have the advice and the budgeting know-how of a CPA at your fingertips if needed!
The logic is simple - assemble a team of passionate people who really care about you and your event, all having different talents necessary to make it all work. That's the beauty of Ellanesque!
